Nancy Hachisu Dinner at Fred’s

Join us at Fred’s on Monday October 29 for a unique four course Japanese dinner with acclaimed author and cook, Nancy Singleton Hachisu.

A California native, Nancy has lived in rural Japan for the last 30 years, studying and promoting the country’s rich – but disappearing – agricultural and food traditions. Nancy is widely respected as an authority on Japanese cuisine, and is a James Beard Award-nominated author of three cookbooks.

The dinner, will feature a four-course traditional Japanese menu with dishes from Nancy’s latest release, Japan: The Cookbook all cooked in the Fred’s fireplace with dessert by Fred’s Head Chef Danielle Alvarez. Experience a variety of tastes from the book’s different chapters, with an optional wine and sake pairing available.

Nancy’s cookbook, which includes over 400 recipes that have been translated, tested and adapted from regional chefs, local grandmothers and artisanal makers of traditional foods, will also be available for purchase and signing.

The four course dinner is $150 per person, with optional wine and sake pairing for an additional $80 per person, book your table now
