What is the street address?

Where can we park? Is there public transport access?

BY CAR: There are various Secure Parking stations close to the venue. To receive up to 10% off, use the code ‘merivale’ when you pre-book online.
BY TRAIN: The closest station is Wynyard Station. Take the George Street exit, turn right and walk to King Street, you will find Hotel CBD on the corner of York and King. York 75 is located on level 2.

 

Dress code?

Casual.

 

Wheelchair access?

Yes, there is lift access to all floors.

 

Is there a smoking area within the venue?

No.

 

Are minors allowed?

No, York 75 is not licenced for minors and is strictly 18+.

 

BYO?

BYO is not permitted.

 

Will there be entertainment?

Yes, York 75 is a sporting haven with a total of 20 TVs.

 

Does the venue turn into a nightclub?

No.

 

Is there lockout?

Per venue operating times.

 

What are the Kitchen close times?

Mon – Fri 12-10pm
Sat 5-10pm

 

I have guests with allergens, will they be accommodated?

Our menu contains allergens and is prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, shellfish and gluten. Whilst all reasonable efforts are taken to accommodate guest dietary needs, we cannot guarantee that our food will be allergen free.

 

Is there a TAB, pokies or bottle shop?

Yes, there are TAB facilities located at York 75, on Level 2 of the Hotel CBD building.

 

Do you have pool tables?

Yes, both York 75 and Club Bar have pool tables.

 

What is your delivery address?

Group Bar Booking FAQ’s

Can I make a Group booking? What is a Bar booking?

Yes, a Group Bar booking is a casual reserved area within the bar. Seating is allocated as a mixture of sitting and standing, and is best suited for casual drinks and nibbles style events. We don’t rope off areas exclusively, or allocate a seat for every guest.

 

Are deposits required to book? Is there a minimum spend?

No.

 

If I have a Group Booking, what do I do on arrival?

On arrival please see one of our friendly bar staff, who will accompany you to your reserved area.

 

If I have a Group Booking, what happens if I arrive early?

If your reserved section is free you’re welcome to use the area earlier. Otherwise, our staff will find you a suitable alternative until the dedicated space becomes free at your booked time.

 

What if I am running late for my reservation?

It is important to let us know if you are running late, as your table may be booked for another reservation after your seating. Please call us to advise delay; otherwise we will hold the table for a period of 15 minutes.

 

If I have a Group Booking for lunch, what happens when my booking time finishes?

Depending if there is an allocated booking in the evening, your group may be relocated to an alternative suitable area.

 

If I have a Group Booking, what happens if I don’t use all my deposit?

Required deposits are non-refundable.

 

If I have a Group Booking, will all of my guests have a seat?

No, seating is allocated as a mixture of sitting and standing.

 

How do I cancel a Group Bar reservation?

If you would like to change or cancel your reservation, please contact us on +61 2 9114 7319 or email groupbar.bookings@merivale.com.

 

Can we pre-order food or beverages?

Yes! We encourage bookings to pre-order food and beverages in advance. Please speak with your bookings coordinator to discuss options. Please note three days notice and full pre-payment is required.

 

Can I bring decorations?

Hanging decorations, balloons and streamers are not permitted.

 

Can we have speeches or AV?

Speeches are not permitted.

 

Can I bring a cake?

Yes. A cakeage fee will be charged if you would like the cake to be cut up and served by our chefs. Alternatively, speak to your bookings coordinator about pre-ordering a Merivale cake.

 

Where do I order on the day?

If you have paid for a dedicated host, you will have someone allocated to look after your group and take orders. For casual bookings with no paid host, you’re welcome to order from the various food and bar outlets.
