Merivale is set for a sensational Melbourne Cup with nearly thirty fever-pitched events across its unrivalled range of restaurants, bars and pubs, giving guests the reins to play the day their way. From the city to the surf, Merivale has a package to suit, with each venue screening the afternoon of racing live and a host of post-Cup party destinations to continue the festivities into the night. ivy, Sydney’s leading dining and lifestyle precinct, will be bursting with race day revelry. Guests can party Italian Riviera-style at the stunning ivy Pool Club ($175) or settle in for a four-course Italian feast at Uccello, accompanied with the perfect view of the rooftop oasis ($295). Ash St. Cellar offers a slice of Europe in the heart of the city ($150) and Felix serves up Nathan Johnson’s decadent fare, with a flute of Veuve Clicquot Rosé Vintage on arrival ($225). At Palings, punters can settle into ivy’s charming open-air courtyard while enjoying a three-course menu ($120), while early birds can head in from 11am to catch all the pre-race action and jockey for position in front of the CBD’s largest screen. The Den will come alive for an elegant soiree with roving canapes and three hours of flowing drinks ($130) and ivy’s VIP booth packages provide corporate hospitality at its best, with personal waiter service. For a more relaxed setting, the charming Royal George offers two-courses and a flute of Chandon NV or James Boag’s Premium ($55).

Establishment, the grand dame of Sydney’s entertainment scene, presents a multitude of Cup Day events across its award-winning portfolio. Executive Chef Dan Hong keeps the stakes high at Mr. Wong, serving a Cantonese-style nine-dish feast ($180), as Peter Doyle plates up an elegant three-course menu at fine- dining institution est. ($250). Prohibition bar Palmer & Co offers a 1920s knees-up ($130) while Establishment’s leafy atrium, The Garden is a beautiful city hideaway to enjoy the racing spirit, complete with decadent buffet ($120). Establishment Main Bar opens from 11am for guests first out the gate to watch the race (group bookings available).

Elsewhere in the city, revellers can set sail in 30 Knots ($65) or celebrate fiesta-style at El Loco Excelsior ($80). For those wanting to celebrate on a whim, Hotel CBD Main Bar, The Angel Hotel, and Wynyard offer an electric buzz with no tickets or planning required.

In the tree-lined streets of the East, guests can hook a winner at The Fish Shop ($95), indulge in an eight- course Asian fusion feast at Ms.G’s ($95) or catch the nail-biting action in The Beresford Courtyard ($85). Further around the bend on Sydney’s iconic Oxford Street, Executive Chef Ben Greeno will serve up his signature rotisserie at The Paddington ($105), while the award-winning Danielle Alvarez is creating a bespoke menu of her ethically produced, seasonal fare at Fred’s, matched with a flute of Ruinart R ($200). New addition The Tennyson on Botany Road provides a relaxed setting with two-courses and flute of Chandon NV ($49).

For race-goers wanting to swap the city for the sand, Merivale’s stunning beachside venue, Coogee Pavilion, offers a coastal three-course feast in the ground-floor restaurant ($115) or canapes and beach views on the Rooftop ($75). North-side, Papi Chulo brings the track to the sea with smokehouse meats and succulent seafood.

In the thriving Inner-West, guests can try their luck at Enmore’s Queen Chow, with a lavish nine-course banquet, complete with a mystery trifecta ticket ($80) while private spaces and group bar bookings are available in the main bar.

Race day festivities will continue long after the race with a host of after-party destinations across the group featuring DJS and live music – Coogee Pavilion, Coogee Rooftop, Establishment, Palmer & Co, ivy Pool Club, Palings, The Beresford, Queens Hotel, Hotel CBD.
