Do any of your venues offer BYO? 
No, they do not. However, all of our venues are fully licensed.

Can I make a booking for less than 6 people at Mr. Wong?
Mr. Wong takes dinner reservations for 6 people or more. Otherwise, we operate on a walk-in basis. The restaurant is extremely popular, so we recommend arriving as early as possible (we open at 5:30pm), to avoid long wait times. Alternatively, we can take reservations for less than 6 guests from 10pm onwards Monday–Thursday, for lunch any day, or for weekend yum cha.

Do you have parking? 
We have an affiliation with Secure Parking, which operates in close proximity to many of our venues. To receive up to 10% off, use the code ‘merivale’ when you pre-book online. Street parking is available for all other venues, but we recommend allowing extra time on busy days.

Ivy dress code/ entry prices? 
The ivy dress code is smart casual. Prices vary depending on the day, time and entertainment.

Can I be guaranteed a specific table in a restaurant?
We are unable to guarantee specific tables, however we can make a special request and the team will do their best to accommodate on the day.

How do I get a job at Merivale?

What is your cancellation policy?
Each restaurant is different, so please check the specific booking terms with our reservations team. Call us on 02 9240 3000 and we would be happy to help.

What should I do if I have a severe and dangerous allergy?
We cannot guarantee 100% against cross-contamination in the kitchen. So if your allergy is very dangerous, we recommend not taking the risk. All guests with an allergy are reminded to bring their epi-pen as an additional precaution and please advise us at the time of booking.

Who can I speak to about alleged food poisoning?
We take this issue very seriously. All information regarding the incident will be recorded and escalated to management for review.  Please call us on (02) 9240 3000 or email us at so that one of our team may discuss this with you

Can I BYO a cake to any of your venues?
Each venue is different. If permitted though, there is usually a cakeage fee, which ranges in price from $6-8 per person. For all ivy and Establishment restaurants, as well as Fred’s and Coogee Pavilion, we have wonderful in-house cake options available for pre-order with at least 72 hours notice.

Are any of your venues open on Christmas Day?
All Merivale venues are closed on Christmas Day, but please keep an eye on our website, in case of any changes.

Do any of your venues offer takeaway?
The Fish Shop in Potts Point offers takeaway via Deliveroo.
Coogee Pavilion offers takeaway pizza orders, with can be made at the venue.
Ms. G’s offers takeaway orders, which can be made at the venue.
The Chicken Shop serves takeaway rotisserie chickens, as well as a selection of sandwiches, salads and sides. You can order online or pick up at the venue.

What are your private dining options?
est. has a private dining room, which can accommodate up to 18 guests, seated across one long table. The Paddington has a semi-private dining room, which can accommodate up to 12 guests. Queen Chow has a semi-private dining room within Zebra Bar, which can accommodate up to 12 guests. Fred’s has a semi-private dining room, which can accommodate up to 8 guests.

Why do you have a service fee?
A 10% service fee is added to reservations of 8 people or more and is a discretionary addition.  Should you not wish to pay this, we recommend discussing it with our floor team when you request your bill.

Why can I never book for 7pm at most of your venues?
While we would love to accommodate all dining requests, this is not always possible, especially during popular seating times. All of our restaurants either have bars attached or alternate options within close proximity – where you can start or conclude your dining experience. At some venues, we offer two sittings per service, which allows us to accommodate more requests and avoid disappointment.

I have been overcharged, how can I get a refund?
Please send us an email with your name, contact email, and phone number, along with the date and time of your transaction and any other details – including payment method, or a copy of the receipt – which may assist us in locating the purchase. Our team will then investigate for you and aim to respond within 72 hours.

What do I do if I am running late for my reservation?
It is important to let us know if you are running late, as your table may be booked for another reservation after your seating. Please call us to advise delay; otherwise we will hold the table for a period of 15 minutes.

How do I cancel a reservation?
If you would like to change or cancel your reservation, please contact our reservations office on (02) 9240 3000. We hope that you will be able to join us on another occasion soon.

How do I cancel a group bar booking?
If you would like to change or cancel your reservation, please contact our group bar bookings team on (02) 9254 8088. We hope that you will be able to join us on another occasion soon.

What is the dress code? (Restaurants)
The dress code in each of our restaurants is smart casual. However, some guests choose to dress more formally, depending on the occasion and formality of the specific restaurant.

What is the dress code? (Bars & Nightclubs)
The dress code in our bars and nightclubs is smart casual. Generally speaking, thongs and singlets should be avoided, but please note that all guest entry in our venues is subject to the discretion of our management and security teams.

How do I cancel my Moshtix, Ticketbooth or other third party promoter ticket?
Please note that these are third-party issuers, so tickets holders should refer to the terms and conditions listed on their ticket, or through the relevant third-party website.
