ivy Ballroom

A 509-square-metre ballroom – without pillars – in the heart of Sydney’s CBD; ivy ballroom is designed for a variety of events. With a grand staircase, six-metre high ceilings, oversized chandeliers, abundant natural light and a covered garden terrace, the space works beautifully for corporate functions and events, conferences, weddings, award nights, gala dinners, product launches and large private celebrations..


ivy Sunroom

100-400 GUESTS

ivy sunroom’s rich, deep blues, marble finishes, white wicker and hint of chinoiserie are complemented by a backdrop of greenery to create a considered and elegant interior. Its sense of spaciousness is enhanced by dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace. Up to 400 guests can enjoy the urban oasis of, what we affectionately call, our secret garden.


ivy Penthouse

Take entertaining to a higher level at ivy penthouse, an elegantly-styled rooftop location overlooking Pool Club. With a spa, custom-built bar and balcony surrounded by lush tropical planting, this private party venue is one of Sydney’s finest tucked-away spaces. For PR launches, corporate events and cocktail functions – or whenever you want to show off, just a little – ivy penthouse is your own private oasis.


ivy Den & Lounge

150-600 GUESTS

A discreet and stylish function, event and party space holding 200 guests, ivy lounge has played host to cocktail parties, networking events, post-conference drinks, product launches and charity fundraisers. Pops of colour, velvet and marble give this welcoming space an elevated style, reminiscent of a bygone era. ivy lounge is available for exclusive hire (excluding Saturday nights). You can also combine it with adjacent spaces the den and the terrace, to host up to 600 guests.


Establishment Ballroom

Marble credenzas, an alfresco terrace and delicious food come together to create an exquisite setting for any function, party or event. With its flexible configurations, this grand room can cater to everything from a cocktail party to a lavish wedding, or product launch. Establishment Rooms

Flooded with natural light, Establishment’s rooms are elegant spaces especially created for more intimate functions and events. There are three room sizes to choose from, with the ability to combine rooms II and III. Tastefully put together with plush carpet, marble side tables and contemporary décor, each room is designed to provide a sophisticated setting for your gathering. Ideal for showings, cocktail parties, intimate dinners and conferences.


Tank Street Bar

40-80 GUESTS

If you love your wine, the centrally located, yet hidden, Tank Stream Bar is precisely the place to indulge. With an old-meets-new fit-out of exposed beams and warm lighting, this space suits wine tastings, cocktails with friends and smaller scale parties. A sophisticated and intimate space with an inviting ambience.


Hotel CBD Fourth Floor

From launches and presentations to industry gatherings, birthday parties and private events, the classically-appointed Hotel CBD Fourth Floor is fully adaptable with a cocktail bar, black-out blinds, DJ booth, stage and dancefloor. This space is made for everything from delivering speeches to getting down for a boogie.


Hotel CBD Club Bar

Hotel CBD Club Bar is an eclectic mix of old and new housed on the third floor of our landmark 1892 Hotel CBD. It’s a great venue for post-work get-togethers, a game of billiards (check out the huge antique table), or your own private party. Whatever the event, you’ll feel enveloped by comfort in this refurbished space.


House of Merivale

Imagine your eccentric old aunt bequeathed you her mansion. That’s the feeling you’ll have when you enter House of Merivale. This unique space encapsulates so much of what Merivale is about; the unexpected and the whimsical; new discoveries around every corner. The five rooms, and adjoining balconies, will bring a touch of magic to corporate functions, birthday parties, engagement parties and celebrations.


Upstairs Beresford

This is absolutely the place to choose if you’re showcasing a live act. Upstairs Beresford has been purpose-built to host memorable live music and entertainment events. With a large stage, a balcony, cutting-edge sound system, tiered booths for uninterrupted viewing and both a bar in the main room and a cocktail lounge out back – it’s great for product launches, team-building events, live concerts, comedy, theatre and parties.


The Grand Pool Room

Only a stone’s throw from Sydney Harbour, this classic pub has something for everyone. There’s the inviting ground floor bar, with its classic oak panels, the maritime-themed 30 Knots on the first floor and The Grand Hotel Pool Room (where you can entertain up to 60 people).


Little Bistro

Refined yet relaxed, Little Bistro is a welcoming haven located in the city centre. Helmed by renowned British chef Alastair Little, this pop-up restaurant in Hotel CBD combines Little’s extensive experience with his purity of vision. A short, seasonal menu brings to life more than forty years in the business and is characterised by the simplicity that is synonymous with Little’s legendary career.


Angel Level 1

40-90 GUESTS

Deep leather couches, theatre lights and a British club-style that welcomes you into intimate surrounds. At angel hotel, you’ll feel like you’re in your own private pub. You could say it’s tradition, with a twist. This much-loved watering hole is ideal for birthdays, buck’s and hen’s nights, engagement parties and corporate celebrations. The comforts of a traditional pub make this a familiar setting to call your own.



30-50 GUESTS

Walk through angel hotel, take the stairs to level two and you’ve found us. Discreetly tucked away, our dimly lit whisky den harks back to its fashionable past with rich velvet and haberdashery cabinets. (John and Merivale Hemmes originally had an iconic fashion retail space here in the sixties and seventies and J&M pays tribute to them.) There’s exclusive whisky available here (part of an extended list) that you won’t find anywhere else, as well as specially crafted cocktails.


Work In Progress

Serving the freshest ingredients in perfectly wrapped, mouth-watering parcels, city dwellers can tuck into a selection of steamed and fried dim sum alongside a snappy selection of cocktails, wines and beers. The pop-up space is perfect for an easy solo lunch, quick bite or catch-up with friends, with DJs playing every Friday night.


Coogee Glasshouse

In a prime location on our Coogee Pavilion Rooftop, Glasshouse is a local oasis where guests can enjoy sensational Mediterranean-influenced food, great company and an unrivalled view of the breathtaking Coogee shoreline. Designed as if it was once an eccentric botanist's conservatory, the Rooftop caters to a wide range of tastes and occasions, whether you're fresh off the beach and ready for a snack, or out with friends and looking for cocktails at sunset. You will enjoy the Mediterranean menu developed by Executive Chef Jordan Toft, packed with lip-smacking flavours.


Hotel Centennial Front Bar

Hotel Centennial is a Woollahra institution, and has been a favourite amongst the local community for decades. Sitting in a prime location opposite Centennial Parklands, the interiors are light-filled, relaxed and elegant, with an artfully curated mix of furniture and antiques, making it the perfect spot to settle in for a long lunch or evening with your guests.


Charlie Parker's

Located below Fred’s, our inviting basement bar, featuring dark wood and exposed sandstone, is the perfect location for a party or get-together with friends. An extension of the philosophy of Fred’s head chef Danielle Alvarez, the drinks list, by cocktail dynamos Toby Marshall and Sam Egerton, blends seasonality with technology.


Palmer & Co

"Inspired by the speakeasies of the roaring 1920s, Palmer & Co. is a subterranean bar located underneath Establishment. Host up to 150 guests for clandestine cocktail parties, birthdays, product launches and exclusive private celebrations. With a wide variety of (decidedly modern) food options and award-winning bar staff, Palmer & Co. has everything covered, including in-house styling and florists. Our team can also add extra ambiance to your event – from 1920s-inspired photo booths to burlesque performers.
