Bert’s serves up a coastal European menu in a dining room fit for an era gone by.Whimsical and nostalgic, Bert’s is inspired by the grand hotel dining rooms of the 1930’s, relaxed with the easy air of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The impressive kitchen takes center stage, accented by charcoal ovens and basque grills, opening up to an elegant brasserie and cocktail lounge.



Widely travelled and with a wealth of experience in Australia, France, Italy, Spain and LA. Jordan Toft’s career began in the kitchen of the Sydney Opera House in 1997. In 2000, Jordan joined fellow Merivale Chef Peter Doyle at his restaurant, Celsius, and two years later, Jordan assisted Peter Doyle in his takeover of Merivale’s est. in Sydney. As Sous Chef, Jordan was instrumental in est. winning the Restaurant of the Year award in its first year of operation. Traveling extensively and living amongst a range of different food cultures provided him with invaluable experience.

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. You will need experience in sweet and savory, terrine, gateaux, ice cream and plating desserts. You must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
