We are on the lookout for an Assistant Sommelier to bring a high standard of service and guest engagement, wine procurement, storage, and wine cellar rotation. You will be a part of the development of wine lists and the overall delivery of wine service and training for other restaurant staff. Working alongside the culinary team, pairing and suggesting wines which will best complement each particular food menu items.
You will support the leadership team including managing suppliers, wine tastings and staff training while being given the amazing opportunity to be mentored by the Merivale’s group master sommelier Franck Moreau.
Most importantly, you will set the standard for world class service and share your wine knowledge with esteemed guests to ensure their experience is unforgettable.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be an experienced Sommelier with the passion and drive to lead a team full of professionals.
